Highest quality implants
We only use Straumann implants, which are Swiss made and globally known as the leading brand of dental implants. A recent unbiased research publication that looked at results from over 11,000 implants in patients, found that Straumann performed the best compared to all other brands (Derks et al. 2015).
Highest quality types of implants
Within Straumann, we use their most advanced type of implant, SLActive, that has a special surface coating to improve healing. The positive effects of this was shown in a recent research study and that the Straumann SLActive implants performed better than the next best leading brand (Shahdad et al. 2022). We also only use Straumann Roxolid implants which are their strongest and highest performing alloy of titanium and zirconium.
Highest quality dental labs
We only use high quality and trusted dental labs based in the UK for the construction of bespoke teeth to be fitted onto your implants. The workmanship and precision of these components have a significant impact not only on how natural the teeth look, but also how resistant they are to mechanical complications.
Custom made and bespoke components
Where applicable, we only use custom made and bespoke parts made specifically for your mouth. This is in comparison to parts that are made in bulk stock and adjusted to fit. Custom components can be better looking and importantly, a more natural shape for long-term maintenance and health.
Genuine manufacturer parts
We use original and genuine parts rather than cheaper imitations from third parties. These components are manufactured to a much higher quality, resulting in a superior fit and precision of your final teeth.
Advanced intra-oral imaging and 3D CBCT X-rays
All of our dental implant cases receive an optical scan of your teeth as standard. We use the 3Shape Trios system, which is the leading manufacturer of intra-oral scanners. This not only helps us with precise diagnosis and planning of your case, but is also used to display the status of your mouth on a wide-screen monitor to help you understand in detail what needs to be done.
We also use the latest advanced 3D CBCT X-rays to accurately diagnose and plan where an implant is to be placed.
Digital technology and computer guided surgery
All of our dental implants use the latest digital planning processes and surgery is carried out using 3D printed custom components. These use advanced software to combine data from your intra-oral scan described above, with a 3D CBCT X-ray of the jaw, to be able to precisely and safely plan the ideal position of the dental implant. This information is then used in what we call guided surgery, with a 3D printed custom component to precisely place the implant in the pre-planned position. This has been shown to be more accurate and predictable compared to conventional surgery, and can also significantly reduce the length of surgery.
Highest quality biologic materials
When there is an inadequate amount of bone present to place an implant, a procedure known as a bone graft is carried out to rebuild the bone required for an implant. Not only do we use the latest techniques based on years of proven research, we use the highest quality Swiss made grafting materials from Geistlich.
Advanced biologic techniques
We routinely use PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin), which is a completely natural product derived from your own blood that can significantly improve healing and reduce symptoms after surgery. Combined with the techniques described above, we believe these extra steps increase the success of treatment whilst reducing discomfort from surgery as much as possible.
